ATLANTA (July 20, 2014) - The 9th Annual Peachtree Village International Film Festival (PVIFF 2013), the southeast’s premiere international film and arts festival returns with an exciting schedule of screenings, educational forums and networking from Sep. 26 – 28th at the 444 Theatre in Midtown Atlanta. 

PVIFF seeks to showcase top films, music videos and screenplays to a diverse audience after being selected by an acclaimed jury. Acclaimed producer/writer/Director Christopher Broughton (VP of Acquisitions DOX TV) who produced and directed the documentary that became the “Coach Carter” hit movie partners with the Peachtree Village International Film Festival (PVIFF) to bring talent from his new DOX TV The Korean Wave/Hanyang Holdings, Co. LTD highly anticipated show "Space Diner Tales" to PVIFF for a Q&A and meet and greet. Broughton along with DOX TV The Korean Wave & partner Hanyang Holdings, Co. LTD has also agreed to provide a first look distribution deal for the Best Screenplay and Best Feature or Short Film at PVIFF 2014.  An executive from Dox TV will be present at PVIFF to present this award.  "I'm excited to be partnering with PVIFF.  Len Gibson and myself have been working on my new feature "Electric Cherry" that we plan to bring to Atlanta and I feel that partnering with this great festival is another example of how China can work with the U.S. and the Atlanta film communities, said Broughton.
“We consider this PVIFF year to be our customer appreciation year as we gear up for our 10th anniversary next year.  The film and business community has been gracious to us over the past 9 years.  We’re excited about offering decrease registration costs, great programming with powerful educational forums this year as a pre-event for a year of exciting programs in 2015”, said Gibson, CEO/Founder.

Festival Highlights
Gibson and James “JB” Brown together with their banner Peachtree Village Productions (PVP) will be showcasing trailers and teasers of programs that are currently at various stages of productions at PVIFF this year.  Through a new partnership with a film fund and investment group PVP looks to find great projects that are in need of structure and financing.  “We’re in a great position to assist great filmmakers with promising work.  Our financial relationships and our experience will be utilized to help young and veteran filmmakers with advancing their projects.  We’re excited about the future of PVP and the opportunities indie filmmakers will be awarded,” said Brown, PVP, CEO.
PVIFF will be extending their relationship with the HBCU Network and their HBCUX banner along with See Soul, Inc. by partnering for the 3rd consecutive year.  On September 13, 2014 HBCUX will be hosting a HBCU Classic football game in the Bahamas featuring Central State University and Texas Southern University. PVIFF will host film screenings on the beach to entertain guests at the first annual classic game.

PVIFF Adds Thom Goff To "Cast Me If You Can" Panel

PVIFF is proud to announce new panelist added to the esteemed "Cast Me If You Can" panel Mr. Thom Goff, Director of East Coast Operations for the highly acclaimed Breakdown Services.


Short Bio:
Thom hails from Maryland but has lived most of his life in New York City. As an actor, he has performed across the United States in a variety of musicals and plays. He was a founding member and Managing Director of The 11th Hour Theatre Collective in New York City during the 1990’s. Thom started working for Breakdown Services in 1989, eventually taking over the running of the New York office in 1995. As Director of East Coast Operations for Breakdown Services and Actors Access, he oversees all aspects of the company’s subsidiaries in the New York market and throughout the east coast. Thom has traveled across the United States, and to Canada, London and Rome participating in seminars for actors regarding the casting process online and marketing yourself as an actor.

2013 Film Festival Seeks Great Films & Screenplays

ATLANTA - The 8th Annual Peachtree Village International Film Festival (PVIFF 2013), the southeast’s premiere international film and arts festival returns with an exciting schedule of screenings, educational forums and networking from August 23 - 25 at the Sheraton Hotel downtown Atlanta, Georgia.   
PVIFF seeks to showcase top films, music videos and screenplays to a diverse audience after being selected by an acclaimed jury.  Winners at PVIFF will receive distribution opportunities, meetings with acclaimed producers for production opportunities and more. 
“We are excited about this year’s festival, which will hit new benchmarks in terms of the content we will be providing our attendees,” says PVIFF Founder, Len Gibson. “Our festival has gained a reputation for showcasing groundbreaking films and acclaimed screenplays. Our line-up this year will be first class – from the films being screen, workshops and ground breaking panels,” said PVIFF Co-Founder, James “JB” Brown.  
Festival Highlights
As a new segment at PVIFF this year production company Peachtree Village Productions that was formed out of PVIFF will pair a winning screenplay writer and director with each other to produce a short film to premiere at PVIFF 2014.  “We decided to create this segment to encourage collaboration with indie film producers.  As an independent producer collaborating with other talent is key and we are excited to present this opportunity,” said Gibson.
Peachtree Village Productions will also seek feature films and documentaries to distribute via worldwide distribution.  This distribution deal features digital and physical delivery via online and in store outlets such as Wal-Mart.com, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Amazon.com, iTunes.com, NetFlix, RedBox and more.   "We are excited to be able to provide distribution outlets for film makers young and old.
